Prince George’s County Black History Month Events:

Black Artists Exhibit

Exhibition comprised of local Washington, D.C. artists features work from all different kinds of media, topics, and stages of development. Cost of attendance is FREE and ALL ages are welcomed.

African American History Excursion

Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation explores historic landmarks throughout PG County and Washington, D.C. PRE-REGISTERATION is required and cost is $5 (includes transportation only). Must provide own lunch.

When: Wednesday, February 25, 2015 9:00am-4:00pm

Age: 17+

Black History Month Family Program: Meet Benjamin Banneker

Come to Montpelier Mansion where guests of all ages can learn about the life of Benjamin Banneker played by actors. Participants will make crafts and enjoy other activities as well. Cost is $4 for residents and $5 for non-residents.

When: Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 1pm-3pm
